SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive support information (Support Has Ended)

As announced on September 18th, 2020, we have retired the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app, effective as of March 18th, 2021, as an effort to retire legacy apps and migrate users to newer products, services, and apps. On March 18th, 2021, we removed the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and you will no longer be able to download the app.

Why is the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app being retired?


We have decided to retire the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app based on its declining popularity, usage, and aging technology. Instead, we are committed to migrating users to newer products, services, and apps that better fit our users’ needs.

You can contact us through the SanDisk Support Site if you have any questions. You can also post your question at the SanDisk Community page.


What will happen to my content stored on my device?

The content stored on your SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive will be available locally on your drive and can be accessed and transferred in two ways:

  1. You can connect your drive to your computer and drag and drop content from your drive to your computer.
  2. You can transfer content wirelessly from your drive to your computer via the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive’s Wi-Fi Network.

How can I access content from my iOS or Android phone after the app is retired?


After the app is retired, if you already have the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app installed on your mobile device, you can continue to use the app to access your content.

Please note that we are no longer providing support or updates to the app, and your app may stop working as a result of changes in the Android/iOS environment.

You can access your content without the app by connecting your drive to your computer via USB cable.


Can I still access the content on my SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive from my mobile device without the app?

No, you will not be able to view the content stored on your SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive on your mobile device without the SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drive app installed on your device.
