The iXpand drive supports Files App on iOS 13. However, it requires the iXpand Drive App to be installed on the iOS device. The Files App uses the iXpand Drive App as a file browser in order to view or save files.
Current iXpand drives are not MSC (Mass Storage Class) devices and use iAP2 (iOS Accessory Protocol 2) to communicate with iOS applications and that's the reason why the iXpand Drive App needs to be installed in order to view or save files using the Files App.
