It is recommended that CFast card users regularly full format and refresh (sanitize) their card. Sanitizing the card returns the CFast card to a 'fresh' state by removing previous recording traces, which restores maximum video recording performance.
Note: Please ensure that sanitize is 100% complete prior to removing the card. If there are power interruptions or if the card is removed prior to completion, the card may not work properly in the camera. If this happens, users are directed to complete the interrupted sanitize and then sanitize once more so that a full sanitize is finished without interruption.

Mac Installation Notes (for Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 and El Capitan 10.11)
1. Download the installation archive to the location of your choosing
2. Open the archive file and follow the prompts to extract the "sanitize_16" folder
3. Open the "Sanitize_16" folder and run the "Sanitizer" installation file
4. Follow the installation prompts (you must have Admin Password to install the program) and restart computer upon completion
Note: Restart is required for Yosemite but optional for El Capitan
5. After installation / reboot connect the CFast reader and CFast card to the computer
6. Navigate to applications Launch pad and open the "Sanitizer" application
7. Select Full Format
Mac Installation Notes (for Mac OS X Sierra 10.12.2 and above)
1. Download and unzip the CFAST Sanitize tool package
2. Double click on the zipped file for it to unzip into a folder
3. Click on the "sanitize.mpkg" package to launch the installer
4. Follow the installation prompts (you must have Admin Password to install the program) and restart computer upon completion
Mac Installation Notes (for Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13 - 10.13.1)
Please note: 10.13.6 and above is not supported at this time
1. Download the installation archive to the location of your choosing2. Open the archive file and follow the prompts to extract the "sanitize 4.0" folder
3. Open the folder run the sanitize mpkg installer
4. Follow installation prompts (You must be an admin to install)
5. Once installation completes reboot the mac
6. After reboot go into system preference > security & privacy > general.
7. "Allow" permission for sandisk corporation
8. Reboot Mac
9. Navigate to applications Launch pad and open the "Sanitizer" application
10. Select Full Format
Note: Following the format operation the card will need to be initialized by formatting in a camera or with the Mac Disk Utility
